Allopurinol
Indications/Uses
Clinical manifestations of urate/uric acid deposition. Management of 2, 8-dihydroxyadenine nephrolithiasis & recurrent mixed Ca oxalate nephrolithiasis. Hyperuricaemia secondary to malignancy.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult Mild 100-200 mg daily. Severe Max: 900 mg daily. Dose >300 mg should be administered in divided doses. Childn <15 yr 10-20 mg/kg daily or 100-400 mg daily.
